A Holiday trip to Bangalore

It was in the month of April 2015 when I along with my spouse was travelling to Bangalore from New Delhi by Rajdhani Express. Having reached Bangalore in the morning we hired an Auto and travelled to Koramangala, after searching for a good hotel for sometime we found out a good and reasonable hotel to stay, I immediately booked it. After relaxing for sometime we planned to visit the Shiva Temple located at Kempfort in Old Airport Road. We went out and nearby there was a bus stand we boarded on the bus which was going towards Marathahalli. We got down at Kempfort and then headed to Shiva Temple. It is also one of the largest Shiva Temple in Bangalore. We purchased the tickets in the main entrance. It was very beautiful inside and crowds gathered from various places. There were book stalls inside the temple premises. We stayed there for 2 hours and then headed back to Hotel.

In the next morning I booked a One Day full Bangalore Sightseeing Package Tour under KSRTC. After we had our breakfast in the Hotel we headed to Madiwala the pick up point of the commuters.

The first Destination was the ISKCON Temple which is located at the Chord Road, Rajaji Nagar. It is one of the largest ISKCON Temples in the world. The cleanliness and the ambience is well maintained. There were food stalls, book shops, showpieces shops and much more. We have seen many devotees in the temple. A must visit place for everyone.

The second Destination was the Bull Temple or Nandi Temple which is located at the Bull Temple Road, Basavanagudi. There was a large Bull Statue inside the Temple. Nice architecture work inside the temple.

The third Destination was Tipu Sultan's Palace which is located at the Albert Victor Road, Chamrajpet. It is a small historical place and it is maintained well.

The fourth Destination was Vidhana Soudha which is located at Dr. Ambedkar Road, Sampangi Ramnagar. It was beautifully designed, very nicely constructed and it is attractive.

The fifth Destination was the Visheshwaraiah Industrial and technological museum. Nice museum on Science, technology and Industries. There are different exhibits on transportation, electronics and communications and space. Lots of interactive exhibits for learning various scientific concepts. Very Interactive and informative of course. It is located just next to the State Museum and walk able distance from M.G. Road and Cubbon Park. A must visit place for Students.

The tour finally ended with beautiful memories. We were then dropped at the Pick up point.

On the 3rd day morning we decided to visit 'Wonderla', it is a amusement park situated at 28 k.m. mysore road, Bangalore. We went to Majestic bus stand and from majestic we boarded on a direct bus to Wonderla. Poeple can also travel to Wonderla by booking a cab/taxi. It nearly took 1 hour 20 mins to reach Wonderla. After reaching Wonderla we purchased the tickets for the Water rides and the normal rides. There are lots of rides both in land and water. It is one among the best water theme based amusement parks in the country with a variety of aqua rides.

We took the rides and it was Awesome. It is a wonderful amusement park to enjoy the weekends with your family members and loved ones. The ticket fees you pay would never be wasted!

One day is not enough to complete all the rides because of long queue we have to face to complete each ride. The locker facility is very good. Best place for spending time with family and friends. Very well run and maintained. The place is very clean and has decent food options. Provides dressing room, lockers and showers.

The next day i.e on 4th day we visited Brigade road and Commercial street. Brigade road is another popular shopping hub in Bangalore. It has many shopping centers and retail outlets of International brands. There are few restaurants and pubs to walk into.

The Short trip to Bangalore was a happy experience for us and its memory is still green in our minds.
